The Clos de la Belle Châtelaine is a singular place, nestled within the pine forest of the Montagne de Beaune. A space that Jean-Louis — my father — rebuilt with love, patience and deep respect for the ecosystem.
He created it to welcome your events, or to share the things he is most passionate about: permaculture, biodynamic viticulture, and the truffle orchard.
Whatever brings you here, the Clos will find a way to touch you, and restore you.

THE GOURMET WALK

Live the story of the Clos — the role of phylloxera, the monumental restoration, the first harvests — then discover the fruit trees, the lyre-trained vine, the truffle orchard and the permaculture kitchen garden. The walk ends with a tasting of a Clos wine with Jean-Louis.

THE TRUFFLE ORCHARD
Jean-Louis will introduce you to his pride and joy — the truffle orchard. He will explain everything about the Burgundy truffle (Tuber uncinatum): the mycelium, mycorrhization, the host trees and the art of truffle hunting. The visit ends with two truffle toasts per person.

THE VINEYARD & WINE TASTING
Burgundy wines, names celebrated the world over. But do you know their story?
A visit to our organic lyre-trained vineyard is the perfect way to understand the role of the monks, the grape varieties, the classification system and the terroir. The visit always ends with a tasting of two exclusively organic wines — one red, one white. Children are welcome to taste our homemade organic fruit jams.
